"Potato Creek News" -- Died May the 1st, Samuel K. BLue aged 79 years the deceased was the father of 8 children all but one proceed him to the grave. His first wife died in 87 and in 88 he married Mrs. SA Ottherman who survives with two brothers, four grandchildren and a host of friends who mourn his loss. The funeral was preached by Rev. Fife in his orchard. He was laid to rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery in Darlington Wednesday. - transcribed by kbz

Samuel K. Blue passed away last Monday at his home in Sugar Creek Township. He was an old resident of the county but had failed mentally in his latter years. Mr. Blue’s funeral took place on Wednesday. Interment was in the Odd Fellows’ Cemetery at Darlington. -s
